GM Canada and Dealers Unite to Support Children in Need this Holiday Season

GM Canada and its dealers have donated over $168,000 in gifts and monetary donations to the Durham Children’s Aid Foundation. This is part of the Sharon’s Kids program, a long-standing tradition at GM Canada. The initiative included a special contest where GM dealers contributed to the DCAF, with Go North Surrey GM winning the chance to purchase the last 2024 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Collector Edition for Canada. Durham College Rallies Support for Students Amid Rising Food Costs

Durham College is raising funds for the Food Insecurity Bursary to assist students facing financial challenges due to rising food costs in Ontario. Last year, the bursary supported 457 students. Dramatic Armed Robbery in Oshawa Leads to Six Arrests

n a shocking turn of events, six individuals were arrested in Oshawa following an armed robbery. The incident began in a local business and resulted in a male victim being assaulted and robbed at gunpoint. The suspects, including two females and four males, were later detained at a nearby residence where a loaded firearm was found. They now face numerous charges including robbery with a firearm and illegal possession of firearms. Read more.

Hit-and-Run in Whitby: Woman and Child Injured, Driver Charged

A pedestrian accident in Whitby resulted in a woman and her child being hit by a vehicle at an intersection. The driver fled the scene but was later apprehended by police. The woman suffered serious injuries, while the child had minor injuries. The driver, a 53-year-old male from Clarington, has been charged with careless driving and failing to remain. Read more.
